Seminar 1Stimulation and Fluid Displacement in Unconventional Gas Reservoirs using CO2 and Other Gases (二氧化碳和其它气体在非常规天然气开采中的应用)
报告人: Dr. Derek Elsworth
Professor , Pennsylvania State University, USA
Fellow Chairman, American Rock Mechanics Association

Derek Elsworth
Derek is currently working in Penn State University.  He is a Professor in the Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering, and also a founding member of the Center for Geomechanics, Geofluids, and Geohazards, its usually called 3G Center. Also he is a fellow of American Rock Mechanics Association.
His interests are computational mechanics, rock mechanics, and the mechanical and transport characteristics of fractured rocks, with application to geothermal energy, the deep geological sequestration of radioactive wastes and CO2, and volcano mechanics.
Now, let us welcome Derek show his seminar.
I present you a small gift for acknowledgement of your seminar, it is a gold-label, there are tow faces, one is about university badge, university name around the bell, the other is about old gate of the university, its called second gate of the university. I hope you enjoy it.
