报告题目：Challenges in morphodynamic modelling for tidal systems. 

About the speaker:  Professor Wang holds the chair Morphodynamics of Estuaries and Lagoons at Delft University of Technology and serves as a leading scientist in the field morphodynamics at Deltares. As a senior specialist / expert advisor at DELFT HYDRAULICS / Deltares Prof. Wang has played a key role in the development of software for modelling of sediment transport and morphological development in estuarine environment.  As a part-time professor at Delft University of Technology, Prof. Wang plays an important role in a number of research programmes at the Hydraulic Engineering Department. With his Chinese background he has been playing a key role in the cooperation with China. He initiated and manages the KNAW-project “Coping with deltas in transition” within the framework of the Programme Strategic Scientific Alliances between China and the Netherlands.
