长期从事水工结构工程与抗震研究
水利水电工程专家,清华大学教授,中国科学院院士。1933年10月出生于广东梅州。男,汉族。1957年毕业于清华大学水利工程系,1965年研究生毕业。1978-1981年在美国加州大学(柏克利)从事研究。现为美国土木工程师协会会员,加拿大Concordia大学兼职客座教授,中国力学学会荣誉会员,中国水利学会名誉理事,水利部科技委委员。
长期从事水工结构工程与抗震研究,提出一种无限边界单元以模拟不规则无限域,并与有限单元耦合,提出了拱坝-地基-库水动力相互作用的时域模型,使高拱坝及其耦联系统在强地震下可以考虑无限地基的辐射阻尼与地震自由场幅差与相位差影响。理论模型还将地基无限域与拱坝结构横缝非线性结合起来,得到了考虑地基辐射阻尼可降低拱坝地震响应25%~30%的结论,已应用于我国300米级高拱坝抗震设计中,对高拱坝安全评价具有重要意义。
运用动力边界元法与断裂力学原理提出重力坝地震断裂与拱坝裂缝扩展模型,将这一模型发展到各向异性介质与非线性混凝土材料,进行了断裂试验验证,应用于多座混凝土坝抗震设计;在拱坝-库水-淤沙动力相互作用方面运用饱和多孔粘弹性模型得到了库水淤沙的反射特性;在边坡与地下工程研究方面提出了时域边界元与离散元耦合模型,应用于三峡船闸高边坡变形稳定预报以及地下厂房的抗震稳定分析。

研究紧密结合我国水利水电高坝工程实践,完成了三峡、二滩、小湾、溪落渡等30多项高坝结构与抗震等关键技术研究。已培养工学博士30余名。发表论文200余篇,SCI收录30余篇,SCI他引130篇次以上,合作撰写专著3部,其中《Numerical Modeling of Concrete Dam-Foundation-Reservoir Systems》为英文版清华大学学术专著。获国家自然科学三等奖,国家科技大会奖,国家优秀教学成果一等奖,国家教委科技进步一等(2次)、二等奖(3次),电力部科技进步奖(2次)等共10项奖励。
